"All personnel have been deployed to clean trash from the drainage channel that was carried by the water and caused blockages. Thankfully, the water has receded," he said on Wednesday (7/9).

Tomi added that the area had been affected by flooding since Sunday (7/6) evening, but the water would fully recede every morning. To prevent future flooding, the local urban village, in coordination with Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency, continues to monitr flood-prone locations.

"We also thank the blue troops and pump station operators for their continuous efforts. Thanks to them, flooding in Kapuk Muara didn't last long," he expressed.

Meanwhile, Head of SDA Unit in Penjaringan Sub-district, Pendi, reported that floodwater on Jalan Kapuk Muara Raya reached 5-25 centimeters high.

"Since last night, we've been pumping water using two units at Kapuk Pump House 3 with a capacity of 500 cubic meters per second. Even though it rained again this morning, thankfully we managed it well, and the water has fully receded," he said.

Pendi added that six blue troop personnel were deployed to cleaned trash clogged in pump filters.

"We're working together with orange troops to stay on alert and respond quickly to any flooding," he mentioned.
